I don't review, I respond.

I wrote an article for LitReactor titled, Death to Stars: Why I Won’t Use Stars to Rate Books Anymore

And now, I won’t be calling them “reviews” anymore either. The word, review is loaded,

“a critical appraisal of a book, play, movie, exhibition, etc., published in a newspaper or magazine.”

“a formal assessment or examination of something with the possibility or intention of instituting change if necessary.”

Goodreads reviews from readers are mostly a shared reading experience; a response to the book.
