I’ll be leaving Substack. I already have a MailChimp account, it’s just going to take time for me to restructure it to accommodate my different audiences. So if you’re supporting me here (thank you) I’m asking you to stay until I get that account set up properly and then I will share sign-ups for two different newsletters and you can choose which one will serve your needs best. They are free.
If you would like to continue to monetarily support me, here’s what to expect when you sign up for my Patreon.
I have two tier levels. Horror Café gives you access to every post except certain Wild Card Wednesdays and the Behind-the-Scenes posts on Fridays. This costs $3.00 a month.
Horror Lounge gives you access to everything for $7.00 a month
Here’s the weekly line-up I follow:
MONDAY: Exclusive first look at a new book review. The public waits a week for me to drop it on social media. Plus, we get to have a private discussion about it in the comments.
TUESDAY: New Book Releases. I scour the internet using my secret (and known) resources to gather up all the brand-new horror and horror-adjacent book releases every week with full cover artwork, a shopping list with links, and my personal thoughts. This is my most popular resource. My patrons love it.
WEDNESDAYS: This is my wild card day. Sometimes I take the day off, sometimes I share an exclusive surprise. Sometimes it’s just for Horror Lounge members, sometimes it’s for everyone.
THURSDAYS: Themes & Tropes. I share book recommendations based on very specific themes and tropes. Sometimes I poll patrons to see what they would like and sometimes it’s a surprise. We have fun with these discussions. This one is all witchy related and Kindle Unlimited offerings. TBR means “to be read” because I offer recommendations (books I have read) and suggestions (books I haven’t read but fit the trope/theme)
FRIDAYS: Fridays are for Horror Lounge Patrons and range from Behind-the-Scenes at Night Worms like early theme reveals and optional spoilers and sneak peeks at my new book, announcements, author interviews, exclusive videos, etc. Stuff I don’t share with the public or will share but not for a while, kind of thing. This is a photo of our Christmas goodie bag packing party at Night Worms.
I recently opened the chat room too and we chat on the weekends about what we’re reading or just shoot the shit. We have fun. I strongly recommend that authors don’t subscribe to my Patreon because we talk honestly about books. My Patreon is for readers only, really. Some thick-skinned authors subscribe and I love having them there. I’m very grateful for their support and engagement but they are unique individuals who encourage me to speak plainly about my reading experiences and share my opinions openly about book covers and what I will or won’t buy—what I started but didn’t finish, I’m just fully me and they welcome it.
Consider supporting me there. Thanks!
Happy New Year everyone. xo
It was nice here. It's just a shame.
I'm already doing it.
