It’s pub day and it’s weird.
I feel like a mom of this…thing…and I’ve been holding its hand for over a year and suddenly today, I let go. So it’s not mine anymore, really…it’s yours. I will always love it and I'm proud of it. I spent all this private time creating it, shaping it, thinking about it; there was a team of people behind me and they all did their part to guide, edit, design, promote, etc.
And today, it’s a collective group effort to take this big step back from it and let it loose. So that’s what I’m doing today. I’m celebrating 101 Horror Books to Read Before You’re Murdered and its newfound independence to go out into the world and do what it has been crafted to do.
Let’s Party!
Interactive stuff:
Join me LIVE on Papercuts LIVE with Brad and J at 4 PM PST/7 PM PST tonight. I hear they’re going to test my horror fiction knowledge and of course we’ll talk about the book baby all growed-up ←not a typo. That’s how we say it.
SURPRISE! I am launching a book club on FABLE today! The first 50 people to sign up and comment inside the book club’s “lobby” gets a FREE eBook to read in-app. It’s an amazing experience. I have my own in-app eBook and it’s so cool! There are intuitive book-nerd-worthy features that make Fable Book Clubs unique. You can highlight text and leave emojis, notes for the club (or private), make a shareable graphic for social media like this:
And I can leave annotations throughout the book while we read. Inside information directly from me to you! A giant buddy-read! The chat rooms are broken-down by chapter so there are zero spoilers unless you go ahead into those specific chats.
After we read this book together, we will move on to others. Coming up in October, I’m reading ALL HALLOWS by Christopher Golden! There will be an exclusive eBook giveaway for this title as well. We’re going to have a great time reading horror together at Fable. Go sign-up and leave a comment!
Lastly, thank you for your continued support and encouragement. Thank you for buying my book and reading, sharing, and promoting. Please leave a review if you feel so inclined. If you haven’t purchased your copy, you can pick one up at your favorite bookstore (and if they don’t have it, maybe nudge them a bit) or check it out at the library (and if they don’t have it, ask them to get it—they love to do that for you) you can also sign up for my Book Club and get a FREE one if you’re fast or you can come see me in-person and I’ll CURSE one for you:
Congratulations!!
Very cool. Enjoy the moment & congrats again.
