Horror Hive-Mind: I Need Your Help

Recommend a Horror Book set in YOUR State Written by a Woman

I’m looking to complete a reading list for an extra special project and I’m hoping anyone who sees this will know of a book set in one or more of these 5 states so I can complete my reading list. Time is of the essence because I need to read (and enjoy) the book. If I don’t like it, I can’t recommend it, which has been the case for some of the books I have already tried for each of these states.

Alabama

Delaware

Idaho

Montana

Oregon

The book must be horror or horror adjacent. Supernatural thrillers, Southern Gothic, and Dark Lit can be considered. The book must be written by a *woman (*and transgender and nonbinary and intersex individuals) Please do not recommend a book already mentioned on this list 50 States, 50 Horror Books, I have already browsed the list of books and cannot use the ones mentioned in these states for various reasons, so check there first if you’re about to make a recommendation—I’d appreciate that.
